The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 11th edition has been recently conducted on 9th December 2018. The exam has been conducted after 2 years. The 10th edition of the exam was conducted on 18th September 2016. This year, the exam was conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) only. However, the newly formed National Testing Agency (NTA) formed to take over the responsibility of conducting all the entrance examination is expected to conduct the CTET 2019 or the next edition of the exam. Till now, the agency has covered only UGC NET 2019, NEET UG 2019, JEE Main 2019, CMAT 2019, and GPAT 2019.
As per the initial announcement by the HRD Ministry, NTA will gradually take over all the competitive exams conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and All Indian Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The institute has been set up with an aim of having transparency and similar standards for all the competitive exams across the nation.
The following article will be covering the detailed information regarding important dates, eligibility criteria, exam pattern, admit card release date, application process, answer key and result declaration for the CTET 2019.
The CTET exam is conducted for determining the eligibility of B.Ed. graduates for government teaching jobs. The exam is conducted for teachers willing to teach classes from I to VIII.

CTET Vacancy 2019
Once the candidates qualify the CTET, they become eligible for the teaching vacancies in government schools as announced by the State and Central Government. This gives them an opportunity to become TGT or PGT teacher. However, the exam conducting authority doesn’t have any role in issuing the recruitment notification. The state government, central government, Kendriya Vidyalaya, or Navodaya Vidyalaya will announce the vacancies for 2019.
CTET 2019 Exam Eligibility
The following is the brief of the eligibility criteria/norms that students must possess to stand eligible for the examination of CTET 2019. In any case, candidate don’t seem compatible with the following criteria, he will be abandoned from the right to give the CTET 2019 exam. Therefore, candidates must adhere to the following norms strictly.
|Education Qualification||For teaching class I–V, the candidates must have done their secondary education with at least 50% or should have cleared/appeared for a final year in the diploma for the elementary education.
For teaching classes VI to VIII, the candidate must hold or possess a graduation degree from a recognized university and have appeared or passed in their 2-year diploma degree in a final year.
|Age Limit||There is a minimum age of 18 years that candidates must have and maximum there is no mandatory age limit.|
|Nationality||Candidates from Indian origin can only apply.|
Following is the eligibility criteria for CTET 2019 exam:

Note: Relaxation of 5% will be given to the candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC/Differently abled in the minimum Educational Qualification for eligibility as per the regulations.
The NTA CTET 2019 is going to be a Computer-based Test with objective type questions. The candidates need to select the correct option out of the four and there is no negative marking as such. There are going to be 2 papers in NTA CTET 2019 – Paper-I for Primary level teachers (I to V) and Paper-II for Elementary level teachers (VI to VIII). The candidates can mark their preference of paper in the application form itself.

Note – The duration of both the paper – I (class 1st to 5th) and paper-II (class 6th to 8th) is going to be of 2.5 hours in total.
CTET 2019 Application Procedure
The application process for NTA CTET 2019 is expected to begin from the first week of August 2019. While filling up the application form, students must furnish true and original details. If the details are found to be misleading, the officials have every right to cancel the candidature.
The candidates need to follow the below set of instructions to submit their application accurately soon after the process gets started:
- Visit the official website of CTET 2019 at ctet.nic.in.
- A link for applying online will appear and candidates need to furnish their personal and educational details.
- Uploading the scanned images of photograph and a valid signature.
- Paying the requisite examination fee and submitting the application.
- Taking a screenshot or a print of the confirmation page for ready reference.
Candidates can download the updated syllabus from the official website of CTET at ctet.nic.in and go through it for effective study.
CTET 2019 Admit Card
The admit card for the exam will be released two or three weeks before the exam. Candidates can download the admit card through the official website using their registration number and date of birth. Candidates must carry the admit card (along with a valid ID proof) to the examination centre for making entry to the examination hall.
CTET 2019 Result
The CTET 2019 exam result will be announced within six weeks from the exam date. Candidates can check the result using their registration ID and password. CTET eligibility certificate is issued to candidates who qualify the exam. The validity of the certificate is 7 years i.e. candidates can apply for the government teaching jobs on the basis of their CTET score for 7 years. If any candidate can wish to improve their CTET score, they can sit for the exam anytime even after clearing the exam.
In case of loss of certificate, a duplicate certificate can be received from the exam conducting authority by paying a specific amount.
