ICAR AIEEA PG Exam 2019 – Important Dates, Admit Card, Syllabus and Result

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting the All India Entrance Examination for Admission (AIEEA) to Master’s degree programmes in various disciplines of Agriculture, Forestry, Veterinary, Animal Sciences, Horticulture, Dairy Science, Agriculture Engineering, etc. The agency will be conducting the exam from 2019 onwards on behalf of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). The ICAR AIEEA (PG) exam 2019 will be conducted on 1st July 2019. Eligibility Criteria

Before moving ahead with the application process, candidates must ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria. Let’s have a look at the eligibility conditions:

Qualifying Examination

Candidates should have passed graduation with four/five (B.V.Sc. & AH)/six (10+6 B.Sc. Ag.) degree course from any recognised university.

Candidates passed out from private Agricultural Universities/Colleges which are not accredited by ICAR will not be considered for admission.

“The candidates with a Bachelor’s degree with 3 years’ duration will not be considered for admission through ICAR AIEEA (PG) 2019 in AUs under ICAR-AU system except in two ICAR DUs, viz. IARI, NDRI for which the eligibility criteria of the concerned ICAR-DU, including the admission of graduates having passed with 3 years’ degree, would prevail for admission,” states the official notification.

Candidates must have secured minimum 60% marks (for General, OBC, and UPS) and 50% marks (for SC, ST, and PWD) in the bachelor degree exam. Check out the OGPA details in the official notification.

Candidate must not be less than 19 years of age as on 31st August 2019. 

NTA ICAR AIEEA PG 2019 Application Process

ICAR AIEEA (PG) application process is active at the official website. It started on 1st April and will continue till 30th April 2019. Eligible and interested candidates must submit their application forms through the official website.

Steps to apply for AIEEA (PG) Exam

  • Visit the official website –
  • Click on the button ‘Fill Application Form for AIEEA (PG)- 2019’ on the home-page.
  • Under the ‘New Candidate Registration’ section, click on the ‘APPLY’ button.
  • The important instructions will appear on the screen. Read them, tick on the declaration check-box, and then click on the ‘Click here to Proceed’ button.
  • The registration form will appear; enter the details asked for and submit.
  • On successful registration, you will receive the log-in details on your registered mobile number and email address.
  • Log-in using the ID and password you have received and complete the remaining application form.
  • Upload scanned images (in JPG/JPEG format) of your photograph (between 10KB to 200 KB) and signature (between 4 KB to 30KB) and pay the application fee.
  • Download the confirmation page after successful fee submission and take a print.

Application Fee

The application fee is to be paid as per the category of the candidate. The fee details are as under:

  • For Unreserved/OBC/EWS/UPS – Rs. 1000/-
  • For SC/ST/PwD/Transgender – Rs. 500/-

Candidates are instructed not to send the hard copy of the confirmation page to NTA or ICAR through the post or any other mode.

NTA ICAR AIEEA PG 2019 Exam Pattern and Syllabus

The NTA ICAR AIEEA (PG) will be a single computer-based test with 160 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). The exam will be of 150 minutes duration. The marking scheme for the exam will be as under:

Marks for a correct response  4
Marks for an incorrect response -1 (there is negative marking)
Marks for the unattempted question 0

The question paper will be only in the English language. As there is a provision of negative marking, candidates are advised to answer only those questions for which they are sure.

NTA ICAR AIEEA PG 2019 Admit Card

Candidates can download the e-admit cards for AIEEA PG 2019 exam from the official website w.e.f. 5th June 2019 onwards. The exam venue, date and timing are mentioned on the e-admit card and candidates are required to appear for the exam as per the given schedule. Candidates will not be allowed to appear for the examination at the centre other than that mentioned on the admit card. Read the instructions on the admit card carefully and follow them during the exam.

Report issues in downloading the admit card/discrepancies in the admit card at the Help Line between 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM from 5th to 30th June 2019.

NTA ICAR AIEEA PG 2019 Answer Key

The answer key for ICAR AIEEA PG exam 2019 will be uploaded at the official website and candidates will be provided with an opportunity to challenge the answer key on payment of Rs. 1000/- per question.

The recorded responses of the candidates will also be uploaded at the official website so that candidates can get an estimate of their score using the recorded response, answer key, and question paper.

After considering candidates’ challenges, the final answer key will also be uploaded at the official website. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of the final answer key.


The ICAR AIEEA 2019 result will be tentatively uploaded at the official website by 17th July 2019. Merit/Rank list will be prepared for every subject-group. Category-wise final merit list will also be prepared.

As per the official notification, “No separate intimation about non-selection in ICAR-AIEEA (PG) 2019 Examination, nor marks obtained therein, will be sent to the candidate and no correspondence (Letter/ Fax/ e-mail etc.) in this regard will be entertained.”
