The National Testing Agency (NTA) has launched a mobile application to help students for exam preparation. Candidates who will be appearing for the JEE Main, NEET, or UGC NET exams can download the official app and practice mock tests anytime on their smartphones. Candidates can download the app from the Google Play Store.
The National Testing Agency was formed last year for conducting all the national-level competitive examinations. The agency will gradually take the responsibility of conducting the competitive exams from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Till now, it has covered UGC NET, JEE Main, NEET, GPAT, CMAT, and NHCM JEE exam.
NTA has recently conducted UGC NET, JEE Main, GPAT, and CMAT successfully under its supervision. UGC NET was conducted in December 2018 and the other exams were conducted in January 2019.
The second session of the JEE Main exam is scheduled to be conducted in the month of April. And, the NEET 2019 exam will be conducted in May. With the NTA app candidates can take mock tests and prepare for the upcoming exams.
Test Practice Centres (TPCs)
The National Testing Agency has also Test Practice Centres (TPCs) to reach the students who don’t have easy access to digital services. The Union Minister of State for HRD Satyapal Singh, said, “the NTA has established a network of more than 4, 000 Test Practice Centres (TPCs) in order to ensure no student is disadvantaged.” TCPs help the students (especially from the rural areas) in getting familiar with the Computer-Based Tests (CBTs).
He further added, “Students across the country can register themselves online at the NTA website or the NTA Student app for visiting the TPCs. All these services are provided free-of-cost.”
“More than one lakh students have registered at these TPCs and over one crore students have benefitted from these app and web services,” he added.
